In Binghamton, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in New York, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (607) 648-9210. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is sticksandstonesgardens.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Binghamton is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Found this garden center a few years ago with my sister. They have a wide variety and reasonable prices. They are only open for a couple of months in the Spring. Highly recommend for garden plants both annual and perennials. Last weekend in May was their closing sale.

My husband and I love going here... they have a great variety of plants (and beautiful arrangements) and the quality is much, much better than what you would find at a place like Lowe's. Pricing is not bad, either! Highly recommend!!

Lovely healthy plants, great variety. They last all summer, nothing petered out or died off. It's always our first stop each season!

Very nice assortment of varieties as well as excellent quality of all the plants. Everything is well taken care of. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They even started a couple varieties of vegetables last year just because I told them that I couldn't find them anywhere and they were my favorites. I used to start all my own but their products are so nice that I'm just using them now.
